Hello, everyone!  I’m Lu, the Owner and proud Lead Assembler of Prime Assembly. This business started the way many good things do: out of love and necessity.  After countless hours building furniture, mounting shelves, and deciphering impossible instruction manuals at home, I realized how often my fiancée would start a project, get overwhelmed, and feel frustrated or stuck.  I hated seeing her stressed or ready to give up, so I’d either jump in to stop the stress before it started or step in to finish/fix the jobs that weren’t built quite right the first time.

Eventually, it hit me: there are so many people out there feeling the exact same way.  People who are fully capable, but just don’t have the time, tools, or patience for a 47-step dresser from a flat box.  So I decided to turn what I was already doing, assembling with care, precision, and respect, into something that could serve our broader community. That’s how Prime Assembly was born.

Before starting this journey, I spent over 15 years doing commercial electrical work and almost a decade working for a local union.  That experience sharpened my technical skills and taught me the importance of doing things the right way the first time and how to problem solve when challenges arise.  I’m also a proud Virginia native and a former college basketball athlete.  That same discipline, hustle, and teamwork still show up in every job I take on.
